ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED

Rom.11:25,26 – For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved;

I could hardly believe my eyes the last several days watching American college students call- ing for the destruction of Israel. The chanting was really quite revealing; :”From the river to the sea all Palestine will be free”, “Infatada, Infatada”, and “go back to Poland”. All of these statements reveal an anti Israel bias as well as historic ignorance. There have been Israelis living in Israel for over 3000 years, not always in charge, but the people have been there since before David made Jerusalem Israel’s capital 3000 years ago. Israel didn’t begin in 1948 but back around 1850BC when Abraham first walked into the land of promise. Paul prophesied about the conversion of the Jews to Christ in the last days in today’s scripture. This anger and hostility against Israel may just be part of God’s plan to bring Israel to a place of conversion and Paul’s words will be fulfilled, “all Israel will be saved”. Here is how the CBC describes this.

“No one, neither Jew nor Gentile, can lay claim to his favor—no one deserves it. The only hope for salvation lies in his mercy. God has so ordered things that both Jews and Gentiles have become imprisoned in their own disobedience. He has brought both groups into a situation where their sin against him must be acknowledged and brought to light so that he might pour out his abundant, forgiving grace on both. “God has imprisoned everyone in disobedience so he could have mercy on everyone” (Rom.11:32). God’s desire is always that people recognize that salvation is a gift of grace and mercy.”

So take notice of what happens in Israel and the world’s response in the near future. A large mass of the population of Israel will turn to Christ. I believe that the pressure will intensify on the Jewish world in the days ahead. Desperate circumstances can bring amazing results. Just as the people of Israel called to the Lord at the Red Sea so many years ago, I believe they will call again and the Lord will do amazing things. If this is true the day of the Lord may be nearer than we think.

  1. “Desperate circumstances can bring amazing results.” Just when we think all grace has been removed, He awakens us and shows us our foolish ways. Correction is grace magnified, becoming something not to be ignored.
