I have recently been drawn to Paul’s message, the revelation of Christ that flowed out of his encounter with Jesus on the Damascus Road. Today I want to share about Paul’s revelation of being in Christ. Ephesians 1 is loaded with the spiritual blessings that we find in Christ. Just take a moment a reflect on all you have received by being in Christ.
All the spiritual blessings or blessings of the Spirit are ours and we experience them as we enjoy the heavenly realms opened to us in Christ.
Eph.1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
2. We are chosen in Him to be holy and blameless as a testimony of Christ living in us.
Eph.1:4 – just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
3. We are made acceptable to God in Christ, the world may reject you, even family and friends can reject us but we are accepted in Him.
Eph.1:6 – to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
4. In Him we have been purchased, redeemed from our sins by the precious blood of Jesus.
Eph.1:7 – In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
5. We receive a revelation of His purposes in Him.
Eph.1:9 – having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,
6. We are gathered together with Christ and His elect making us one together in Him.
Eph.1:10 – that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.
7. We have received an inheritance, which is God Himself, in Him.
Eph.1:11 – In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will
8. We have trusted in Him and have received the first taste of heaven, the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Eph.1:13,14 – In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
