ANGELS
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews 1:14
Have you ever seen an angel? Most of us probably have, there are angels among us all the time. Rarely humans will be allowed to see them in their “angelic” state. Most of the time they are happy to be incognito, they are ministering to the heirs of salvation. Angels appeared in the Bible. Mary saw an angel at the time of her conception of Jesus. Peter saw an angel when he was broken out of prison. Jacob saw angels in his famous ladder dream. Angels delivered the law, defeated the Assyrian army, helped Jesus in Gethsemane; they even met and led Joshua into the promised land. Angels are involved in our lives more than we will ever know. Here are some of Spurgeon’s thoughts on angels.
“Angels are the unseen attendants of the saints of God; they bear us up in their hands, lest we dash our foot against a stone. Loyalty to their Lord leads them to take a deep interest in the children of his love; they rejoice over the return of the prodigal to his father’s house below, and they welcome the advent of the believer to the King’s palace above. In olden times the sons of God were favored with their visible appearance, and at this day, although unseen by us, heaven is still opened, and the angels of God ascend and descend upon the Son of man, that they may visit the heirs of salvation. Seraphim still fly with live coals from off the altar to touch the lips of men greatly beloved. If our eyes could be opened, we should see horses of fire and chariots of fire about the servants of the Lord; for we have come to an innumerable company of angels, who are all watchers and protectors of the seed-royal.”
One of my fondest memories of what I think was an angelic appearance happened in a service In Lakeland, Florida in January of 1995. It was probably the most powerful service I had ever attended, thousands of people were laying in stunned silence on the floor for close to 1 hour. As the glory began to lift slightly, I was aware of someone laying their hand on me in prayer. I enjoyed the presence for a few minutes and lifted my head to see who was praying for me only to see no one standing there. Someone was there praying, I just couldn’t see them.
Another incident was approximately at the same time back in our Sunday service in Metairie. We had been singing for quite a while when we began to sing the song Yahweh. The glory of The Lord filled the building, it was almost impossible for anyone to stay standing, and then those other voices began to sing. The sound was distinctly different, it was the sound from another world. The angels were singing with us that morning, soon we will be joining them in that song in that other world. I can’t wait!

Early in my life with Jesus, I came expect the wonders that the Lord kept sending my way. New Christians get lavish displays of God’s love for His new babes.
There is a kitchen window above the sinks where I could peel the vegs for dinner.The window was open and I was singing as I worked. Nobody was home but my mama sleepinging the back bedroom. Suddenly, unexpectedly I was physically pushed to the left, almost loosing my balance… I saw “something” that flew past my head … I followed the blur past me and went to the wall to search for what I thought would have been a bullet hole in the kitchen wall There was no hole, nothing different, just a wall. I asked the Lord,” what was That???!!!” No voice, no “lights”, just the unmistakeable impression that my angel pushed me before the weapon found its mark inside me. I knew that we whom belong to the Lord are tenderly cared for, but sometimes His ministers come with a display of physical manifestations that bless as they protect.
Forever will not be enough time to thank our God for the Love He has given to us heirs !!!!!
