Psa. 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Rom. 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
I recently saw a post on Facebook that talked about a recent discovery that proved the accuracy of the Big Bang theory. What this discovery showed was that the universe was created instantly and was not a random accident but the act of a superior being living outside of the universe in another reality. That is just another way of saying, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Here is part of an article from CNN by Leslie Wickman, Leslie is director of the Center for Research in Science at Azusa Pacific University. Wickman has also been an engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, where she worked on NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and International Space Station programs.
(CNN) The remarkable discovery, announced this week, of ripples in the space-time fabric of the universe rocked the world of science – and the world of religion.
Touted as evidence for inflation (a faster-than-the-speed-of-light expansion of our universe), the new discovery of traces of gravity waves affirms scientific concepts in the fields of cosmology, general relativity, and particle physics.
The new discovery also has significant implications for the Judeo-Christian worldview, offering strong support for biblical beliefs.
The prevalent theory of cosmic origins prior to the Big Bang theory was the “Steady State,” which argued that the universe has always existed, without a beginning that necessitated a cause.
However, this new evidence strongly suggests that there was a beginning to our universe.
If the universe did indeed have a beginning, by the simple logic of cause and effect, there had to be an agent – separate and apart from the effect – that caused it.
That sounds a lot like Genesis 1:1 to me: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth.”
As a modern believer and a scientist, when I look up at the sky on a clear starry night, I am reminded that “the heavens declare the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1). I am in awe of the complexity of the physical world, and how all of its pieces fit together so perfectly and synergistically.
If God is truly the creator, then he will reveal himself through what he’s created, and science is a tool we can use to uncover those wonders.”
I love that, The Lord is confirming His word through man’s new technological discoveries that enable us to gaze into the mysteries of creation. How do these scientific discoveries affect us? They really don’t affect our faith, they only confirm the accuracy of the Word of God. For me, these discoveries fill me with awe when I consider the greatness of the One who created all things. It also overwhelms me when I think of how this Creator of all things entered into His creation to die for me.

HALLELUJAH, WHAT HANDY WORK HE REALLY IS, GLORIOUS…..:)
I LOVE THE WAY HE LIGHTS UP THE SKY.
HALLELUJAH, REAL TALK, GLORY , HONOR AND yPRAISE TO THE KING, JESUS… 🙂
CREATOR OF ALL/EVERYTHING.
I LOVE WHEN HIS THUNDER BOOMS AND ROARS.. LOVE TO WATCH THE LIGHTNING STRIKE ACROSS THE SKY, HOW POWERFULLY POWERFUL.
GOOD MORNING, PASTOR FRANK, AWESOME BLOG, HAVE A GREAT AND WATCHFUL DAY IN OUR KING, OUR LIGHT HOUSE…
WITH LOVE… SEE YOU IN CHURCH, HALLELUJAH, 🙂 I LOVE WHEN THE ATMOSPHERE BOOMS/BANGS AND TALKS..
PRAISE HIM AND ONLY HIM, JESUS.. HE IS FIRE
I love how the Holy Spirit had you end the writing, now the “world” knows everything was created, but more importantly the Creator died (of all things) to redeem US.
Explosive!
Awesome!!!! The scientific world is proving what those WITH FAITH have known for a very long time. PRAISE GOD FOR ALL HIS WONDERFUL WORKS!!!!! GLORIOUS IS HIS SPOKEN WORD!!
Thanks for highlighting this article. Personally my thoughts on the Big Bang are a little different. Many of my brothers and sisters in Christ are quick to embrace the Big Bang and I can certainly understand why. As mentioned unlike the Steady State theory, the Big Bang suggests that our universe had a beginning. This a step in the right direction. Where I would have a concern is that it does not follow the timeline given by the Bible. It says that stars and galaxies came long before the earth but according to Genesis the earth was created on day 1 while the sun, moon, planets and stars weren’t created until day 4. With that I’d like to point you to another recently published study that concerns the Big Bang. This is from the Carnegie Institution for Science – http://carnegiescience.edu/news/some_galaxies_early_universe_grew_quickly
Creationists based on an historical view of the Bible predicted that when we look deep into the universe the stars and galaxies we see would look much like those we find next door in the Milky Way. On the other hand, Big Bang proponents predicted that we would see only infant galaxies. Over the last two decades Big Bang proponents have been repeatedly “startled” and “baffled”. Creationists that have been opposed to the Big Bang have been right again and again. God’s Word is amazing! I’d love to hear your comments.

Thanks for your comments Dean. I am not a proponent of the Big Bang theory either. I was blessed to see scientists acknowledge that “something or someone” outside of this creation created all things.
I sense you said it ALL when you stated “These discoveries fill me with awe when I consider the greatness of the One Who created all things.”
GOD is so incredibly BIG that human nature we cannot define or confine His powers to a Big Bang theory.
