Isaiah 64:1-4 -TPT – God, if only you would tear open the heavenly realm and come down!
How the mountains would tremble in your awesome presence! In the same way that fire sets kindling to blaze and causes water to boil, let the fire of your presence come down. Reveal to your enemies your mighty name and cause the nations to tremble before you! When you did amazing wonders we didn’t expect, you came down, and mountains shuddered in your presence! These amazing things had never been heard of before; you did things never dreamed of! No one perceived your greatness. No eye has ever seen a God like you, who intervenes for those who wait and long for you!

I have had a couple of days to think about what happened in New Orleans last Saturday at the LET US WORSHIP event. I feel like I am still saturating in the atmosphere of that historic day for the City of New Orleans. Sean Feucht began his LET US WORSHIP peaceful protests after the Governor of California took extreme measures toward the church in California. Church services were forbidden for an extended period of time and when minimal gatherings were allowed, singing was forbidden. Really?! No singing in church. No singing or gathering for the church in America. I suppose the government has taken the position that the pandemic trumps (no pun intended) the first amendment. I guess that becomes easy when you begin to question the morality of our founding fathers and think that our modern day social justice warriors know better. The conclusion all of us have to come to at some point is this – enough is enough – we have to tell the powers that be LET US WORSHIP.

Last Saturday Christians from many different churches came together to simply exercise their first amendment rights and worship the Lord publicly. From my perspective God came down in the midst of His people. David said God inhabits our praises. Yes, the Lord came down and something fresh was birthed. I felt a new hunger in our church gatherings this Sunday. I also felt a new sense of God’s presence and joy on my life. My prayer is that last Saturday marked the beginning of what’s next. No, we are not going back to a pre-Covid kind of normal. We are entering a new season marked by boldness and a passion for the Lord and His kingdom. We are entering a new Jesus movement for a new generation. Tear open the heavens Lord and come down in the city of New Orleans.

  1. Yessssssss!!!!!!!!!! Amen!!!!!!!! 💥💥💥💥💥💥❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶🎶🎶

  2. It was a day that we can’t forget, a day that actually could have hit the reset button, a day that God intended to restore something that each one there had lost in the sea of Covid 19, a day that could have put NOLA on track for that great revival we are all expecting!
His ways are higher than ours, I expect we may never know just exactly happened that day!
