Merry Tuesday with Parris

But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Psalm 92:10

The other day while biking riding through the trace, I started hearing the words “fresh oil”. I found myself repeating it over and again and couldn’t wait to go home and study the times fresh oil was mentioned. The canopy of trees with the wind blowing all around me was already bringing “fresh oil” to me! Seasons change and with that comes “fresh oil”! New season of joy! New season of love!

We know that the manna in the OT had the taste of “fresh oil.” Manna was the way God fed the children of Israel and it had to be fresh manna, not made from man. In John 6:33, Jesus declared that He was the bread of heaven so we could say “the Son of fresh oil.” He comes with healing in his wings-He comes with “fresh oil”.

Fresh Oil brings healing to our internal parts. Oil was poured upon the poor Samaritan left for dead along the highways of life. He was revived when oil was poured upon him. When fresh oil comes we can revive and have restoration from that which was lost. Fresh oil, Fresh anointing, Fresh Holy Ghost, Fresh vision, and Fresh strength!

“Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.” Ps. 33:3 The word new song means Chadash or “renewing” or “renewed with strength”. When fresh oil comes we can sing with renewed strength. It is then that we experience freshness of worship and begin to feel His presence.

Young David was separated and called out when Samuel poured out fresh oil upon his head! Fresh oil causes people to come forth and volunteer freely in the day of His power. Whatever hindered you before from sharing your gifts with others, when fresh oil comes into your life, you have the freedom and grace to step forward. I believe there is a new season of fresh oil falling upon the body and in return they will overflow, giving of themselves to the body of Christ.

Allow the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit to come again into your life! Oil makes the face to shine, oil brings repentance, forgiveness toward others and fresh love. This is your season. What are you waiting for?
