Gal.4:4 – But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman,

From the earliest days of human existence man has longed for a Savior. The promise was first made just after the fall in the garden of Eden. The Lord promised a Savior, the seed of a woman, Who would crush the serpent’s head. This promise was fulfilled many years later when the Virgin Mary of Bethlehem conceived a son in her womb without the help of a man. Who has ever heard of anything like this before. A virgin would conceive and give birth to a perfect man , Jesus Christ the Savior of the world. But Bethlehem nor the garden is where this story really started. The real story started in ancient days, as the prophet Micah said, “from the days of eternity”. The story of Jesus didn’t begin in Bethlehem because He has always existed. Somehow He has been with the Father from eternity past. Just as He became a man without a human father, He has always been the Son of the Father without the help of a mother. This is the timeless mystery of God. Here is a poem I recently wrote called ‘Fullness’ during the Christmas season. I hope you enjoy it.

FULLNESS

IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME

GOD UNVEILED HIS PLAN

BORN OF A WOMAN

WITHOUT THE HELP OF A MAN

FROM THE DAYS OF ETERNITY

BEFORE TIME HAD BEGUN

SHINING OUT FROM THE FATHER

GOD’S ONLY BELOVED SON

BROUGHT FORTH FROM A WOMAN

GOD’S PERFECT PLAN

BORN OF A WOMAN

WITHOUT KNOWING A MAN

BORN IN ETERNITY

YET NOT BORN AT ALL

HE WAS BORN OF A VIRGIN

IN AN ANIMAL’S FEEDING STALL

BORN OF A WOMAN

WHEN TIME WAS FULFILLED

GOD SENT HIS SON

THE NEW DAY REVEALED

“In the fullness of time”, those are the timeless words of the Apostle Paul. Jesus was born when we needed Him the most. When will He return to this earth? I would say when He is needed the most. All that we see taking place, the turmoil, unrest, and the unthinkable deterioration of our civilization testifies to us, there is not much time. Creation is crying out for the Lord to return. I think we are drawing close to another day when we can say, ‘in the fullness of time God sent His Son’. Come quickly Lord Jesus.
