THE NATIONS RAGING AGAINST ISRAEL

Ps.2:1-2 – Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing?

The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His Anointed

Israel’s enemies launched an attack against Israel today, this time it was Hamas as the tool of Iran who is a known enemy of Israel and will stop at nothing to destroy her. There were literally thousands of rocket attacks into Israeli neighborhoods. Armed terrorists broke into civilian homes all over Israel killing civilians including children and the elderly as well as taking many individual civilians as hostages. This is nothing new but the intensity and enormity of this attack has huge prophetic significance. The spirit of the world, the spirit of antichrist, is doing its best to destroy Israel which is at the heart of God’s prophetic plan. In 1967 there was an attack on Israel known as the Six Day War. There was another attack in 1973 positioned in the middle of the Charismatic/Jesus movement that was touching our world at that time. Apparently the enemy is very aware that his time is short and is raging out against Israel. The good news is that the Lord sits in the heavens and laughs, He will orchestrate these events to advance His kingdom.

The Bible speaks about national alliances between Russia, China, Iran, and several African nations in their last day onslaught against Israel. Russia and Iran seem to be in a desperate place economically currently. Russia is suffering financially from its war with Ukraine and Iran has been under economic restrictions for several years causing chaos in their economy. Their desperation can lead to desperate decisions. At some point, whether now or later, all of these nations will join in on the onslaught against the land of Abraham.

What is our job right now? Prayer. Ps.122:6 – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.”

Several things we can watch and pray for come to my mind as we observe these prophetic events unfolding before our eyes.

1. Pray for an awakening in Israel, when this happens the end of the age is here.

2. Pray for an awakening in the youth and young adults of this generation who have become victims of a Godless culture.

3. Pray for the churches in America to awake from their spiritual slumber.

4. Pray for the Lord of the harvest to bring laborers into the fields.

5. Pray for Godly leadership in our government that will stand with the nation of Israel.
