Rom.10:12,13 – For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”
In this passage we see the call of God to all mankind so that all who are thirsty can come. Paul literally says it, “all who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved”. I want to center in today on exactly what Paul says the Lord is promising to us. What does it mean to be saved? Looking at the ministry of Jesus gives us a look at what the Lord is offering; freedom and forgiveness from the chains of sin, healing for our bodies, deliverance from the curse of poverty, and eternal entrance into fellowship with our God. The word Paul used is quite informative, saved is the word sozo which is rich with meaning. Here is a glimpse from Vine’s Dictionary of New Testament words.
“Sozo – to save,” is translated by the verb “to heal” in the KJV of Mark 5:23 and Luke 8:36, “to make whole” in the RV; the idea is that of saving from disease and its effects. to save,” is used of material and temporal deliverance from danger, suffering; Jude 5; from sickness, Matt. 9:22, “made… whole”; (b) of the spiritual and eternal salvation granted immediately by God to those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, (those that) were being saved”; (c) of the present experiences of God’s power to deliver from the bondage of sin; (d) of the future deliverance of believers at the second coming of Christ for His saints, being deliverance from the wrath of God to be executed upon the ungodly at the close of this age and from eternal doom (e) of the deliverance of the nation of Israel at the second advent of Christ (f) inclusively for all the blessings bestowed by God on men in Christ,”
So this offer to all of the world is quite amazing. This is the reason Paul gave his life to the spreading of the gospel. If the claims of his message are true then we must offer this great treasure to anyone who will listen to our voices. The world is desperately looking to find answers to all these questions that are answered in God’s offer of salvation. Just think about it; forgiveness of sins, peace with God and peace in our heart, healing from our sicknesses, provision for our life on earth, and eternal happiness with the Lord in heaven. This is why we must tell everyone we can about this amazing offer from the Lord.
Amen !!🙌🙌🙌
