Acts 2:17-21 – And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.’
I have been pondering this prophetic word for a couple of days reflecting on the curious time we live in. As I read this passage I had a surge of prophetic impression, I suppose it could be classified as the gift of faith. Here are some things I expect to see suddenly in the days ahead.
1- I believe a time is coming when the whole church will embrace the outpouring of the Spirit accompanied by speaking in tongues and the public display of the gifts of the Spirit.
2- I see Baptist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, Catholic Churches all moving powerfully in the move of God. Great division will come as a result – Congregations will split off choosing to move with God in the Spirit rather than stay in a dead situation.
3- I see an outpouring of the Spirit on the children and youth that will literally overwhelm the schools –
4 – I see revival in schools where some public schools will forbid Bibles to be brought to school
5 – New school and education movements become essential which will spring up suddenly
6 – Colleges will experience unprecedented conversions to such a degree that the godless agenda will be blocked in many locations –
7- Young men and women will have prophetic insight into the things the Lord is doing and will do in the world
8- Old men will see the dreams and expectations they have long forgotten and given up on resurfacing in their hearts and suddenly being fulfilled
9 – No gender, race, or economic restrictions – a supernatural move of God consisting of all people
10- Young people leading congregations by the Spirit
11- Women leading great congregations
12 – African American pastors leading predominantly Caucasian congregations
13 – African American congregations with large Caucasian populations
14 – Suddenly many will experience a calling into ministry – young and old alike
When the Lord begins to pour His Spirit out in new ways things are impacted suddenly. There will be an unprecedented change in church culture that will come about in a matter of weeks. New ministries will be birthed, traveling ministry will be featured by the Lord, and a surge of signs and wonders will be too numerous to keep up with. Truly the days of the early church will suddenly be all around us.
