Mk.5:27-39 – after hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak. For she had been saying to herself, “If I just touch His garments, I will get well.” And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
It quite shocking how easy and common it is for Christians to live their lives without the touch of God’s power upon them. I know the first few years of my Christian experience were permeated with the power of God but the years of working in the ministry somehow brought me into a very dry place. Outwardly I was doing the same things; ministry Bible reading, prayer, and everything else but somehow I had moved into a system more than a relationship, I needed a touch from God. I received that touch in a prayer line in 1994, God came down again in my life. He awakened my first love and put a fire in my life and ministry. This fire is the anointing. This is the power of God that awakens us and performs miracles in our lives. Here is how Kathryn Kuhlman describes this.
“I don’t want to belittle the efforts of scientists and physicians; they can provide some measure of help. Yet, let it be said that God can do what no man can do. He can heal all who come to Him in faith. The Lord is no respecter of persons. When God touches your body and the healing virtue of Jesus flows through you, His power becomes real to you. It enhances spiritual blessings you were already enjoying. His mighty work enriches your testimony and enables you to encourage the needy. It challenges the unsaved, and may lead them into the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ— undoubtedly the greatest miracle of all. The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are supernatural. So, it is reasonable for them to do powerful things for us. It is natural for God to do the supernatural; it is an expression of who He is.”
The power of God flowing through your body enhances everything. It performs miracles in us and through us. This is our great need especially in the present condition our world is in. Drug addiction, alcoholism, immorality, and depression are only symptoms of our great need. We need God, we need the touch of God. If you happen to need a miracle this is where you will find it; come to Jesus again, reach out for Him and you will find His anointing flowing through your body too.
