Gal.5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal.5:25 – If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.
‘Get in line’, this was one of the drills we learned in elementary school, to lining up was critical in order for a teacher to keep their class in harmony. In today’s verse Paul is describing a spiritual harmony that only comes when we walk in the Spirit. I guess the first thing we need to determine is what does that mean, what exactly is walking in the Spirit? To me this is very simple, it means to walk under the direct influence of the Spirit. This is easily accomplished by worship and praying in the Spirit. This brings about the harmony described in this verse, we walk with God and also begin to get in line with the body of Christ. This spiritual harmony brings us into the place of miracles. The Day of Pentecost was described as a time of spiritual harmony, the body of Christ was advancing in power as they were walking in step with the Holy Spirit. Here is how Vine’s word book describes walking in the Spirit.
“walk in line,” and is used metaphorically of “walking” in relation to others; in Acts 21:24, it is translated “walks orderly”; in Rom. 4:12, “walk (in… steps)”; in Gal. 5:25 it is used of walking “by the Spirit,” RV, in an exhortation to keep step with one another in submission of heart to the Holy Spirit, and therefore of keeping step with Christ, the great means of unity and harmony in a church.”
You would have to agree that this is not what we see in the culture of the world. They may be trying to create a counter culture version of this as they walk in harmony with the spirit of the world or the spirit of anti-Christ. The results of that is a godless society that has deteriorated into an anything goes world that has thrown off all of the restraints of Christianity. Walking in the Spirit brings us back into harmony with the Lord, His word, and His church. The results of that harmony is purity, love, and the power of God at work. I love the example from elementary school, we all get in line with our classmates and watch and see what God will do.

Amen. So true.
I must say, walking in the spirit can be difficult and can be easy. I myself have strong convictions but the body, mind and spirit must be in sink/ in line with one another. If one part is weak, it throws everything off. I do know He sees everything in my past, my present and my future life. I pray God continues to forgive me for my frailties. I thank Him for being who He is. He is never ending river of love. Thank You, Jesus.
