Ezekiel 37:9,10 –
Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
We have had another sign of the times explode right in front of us over the last weekend. The eruption of war in the Middle East has the flavor of last day prophetic events all over it. We see trouble with Iran, saber rattling from Russia, and the silent gaze of China with Israel at the epicenter of all the action as the prophecies of Ezekiel immediately come to mind. Ezekiel 38 talks about this alliance of nations attacking Israel and being destroyed in the process, that could be tomorrow’s headlines. As I pondered Ezekiel 38 this week end my thoughts turned to Ezekiel 37, the vision of dry bones. At the end of the day all of these things from God’s perspective are about harvest. Chapter 37 talks about a multitude of people that are dead coming alive. This prophesy is about the final resurrection but it is also about a multitude of people who are dead in their sins being made alive by the breath of God; that day spoken of by Ezekiel is upon us.
I believe there will be a great harvest of souls just before the Lord returns to reign on earth in Jerusalem fulfilling the prophecies about the Son of David. There is an unprecedented stirring in the Muslim nations, multitudes turning to Christ. There will be a move of God with multitudes of Israelis coming to Christ in the days ahead of us. The thing that interests me the most is that I believe one last awakening is scheduled by the Lord for the USA, it has to happen. Our nation has sowed its sons and daughters as missionaries to the world over the last 200 years. We have stood with Israel as they have been barraged by enemies since 1948. We currently have an entire generation in America that has forsaken church, that is all about to change.
I believe the Lord is speaking to young men and women in the USA like he spoke to Ezekiel 2 ½ millennia ago. What is He saying? Can these bones live? Prophesy to these bones son of man. Speak my word and a great army will arise in these days.
