PAYDAY IS ON THE WAY

Ps.66:12 – TPT – You’ve allowed our enemies to prevail against us.

We’ve passed through fire and flood,

yet in the end you always bring us out better than we were before,

saturated with your goodness.

We just had our annual Summer Saturation meetings at our church in New Orleans. One of the speakers focused on what he called PAYDAY. He said that our present circumstances mean nothing, God’s plans and miracle power mean everything. Today’s passage says the same thing, David was describing being overwhelmed in the natural world by impossible circumstances yet the Lord not only delivered him from these troubles, he came out better than before into a wealthy place saturated with God’s goodness. The key for this to me is the word saturation used in this verse in the Passion Translation. Saturating in God’s glory overwhelms all of the adversity that all of us face. Here is how Spurgeon describes this.

“How wealthy is the place of every believer, and how doubly does he feel it to be so in contrast with his former slavery: what songs shall suffice to set forth our joy and gratitude for such a glorious deliverance and such a bountiful heritage. More awaits us. The depth of our griefs bears no proportion to the height of our bliss. For our shame we have double, and more than double. Like Joseph we shall rise from the prison to the palace, like Mordecai we shall escape the gallows prepared by malignity, and ride the white horse and wear the royal robe appointed by benignity. Instead of the net, liberty; instead of a burden on the loins, a crown on our heads; instead of men riding over us, we shall rule over the nations: fire shall no more try us, for we shall stand in glory on the sea of glass mingled with fire; and water shall not harm us, for there shall be no more sea.”

So what kind of dilemma have you fallen into. Whether this pit is of your own doing or just simply an attack it makes no difference; the way out is always the same. Call upon the Lord, worship Him continually in the midst of your adversity, saturate in His word and in His presence. The result is always supernatural, He will bring you out into a place of blessing. Remember, PAYDAY is on the way.
