EVERYONE WILL KNOW

Ezekiel.38:23 – So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD.

No matter how bad things appear the Lord will be glorified. We have seen an uptick year by year in signs that the last days are upon us. Everything from political upheaval to rioting and burning cities. Global pandemic, extreme storms, and nations invading nations. This verse in Ezekiel comes after an all out invasion on Israel from an alliance of nations including Russia and her Islamic allies. Ezekiel says that God Himself will intervene with catastrophic damage and all the world will know that it is Him. Here is how the Fire Bible describes this scene.

“Against Gog and his allies God summons the forces of nature and an earthquake devastates the land, affecting the fish, birds, beasts, and man. No human army is needed, for dissension, pestilence . . . bloodshed, and in the form of rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone, will do the work. By His intervention God will magnify Himself. This is describing final events of the day of the Lord.”

One thing I am certain of, God always acts and His actions are often sudden and decisive. I remember the story from Isaiah when the armies of Assyria surrounded Jerusalem. There was no way for them to escape. In one night 185,000 soldiers died. The Bible says it was an angel of the Lord, history books say a plaque broke out. As the difficult times in the earth intensify God’s displays will be more and more evident. I believe there will be a sudden wave of signs, wonders, and miracles in the coming days. Everything we have ever seen the Lord do will be stronger and more common.
This last week we have seen the evil of fallen man on full display from Putin and his Russian army invading the Ukraine. These things are hard to watch, they display the need for God’s intervention. Everything that happens is being observed in heaven, nothing escapes His notice. Somehow the church must respond to this tragedy, the Lord will provide the doors of opportunity. As today’s verse says, “So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known”. Suffering and these kind of atrocities will result in redemption. Somehow, the Lord will have His way.
