Anthem of Our Praise 3

“The Lord Reigns” The Anthem of our Praise!
Part Three- I just can’t get enough!

MERRY FRIDAY BY PARRIS BAILEY-

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Being a Christian is being one that loves His word and His presence! Just recently we had our oldest son come into town for a visit bringing with him our 8 year old grandson. (Yay!) During the weekend I found my grandson reading the entire time, sometimes late into the night. It brought back so many memories of me as a child doing the same. Oh-how I loved Black Beauty! I believe reading was a gift from God to me, His Word has kept me through so many many dark times. Then in 1994 he swept me away again with His presence. We are forever changed and transformed from one glory to the next. Even when I walk in the park (sorry I keep mentioning this!) I am taken back, got off guard, amazed over the many facets of His grace and glory that “catches me by surprise”. Wednesday we had one of those sudden downpours of rain that summer has, I was once again caught off guard by His presence in the car. Oh my, how can we ever explain His glory!
Kretzmann Commentary says; ‘that the Holy Spirit enlightens, cleanses, and strengthens our hearts, that he work new light and life in them and the true evangelical, Christian perfection is that we daily increase in faith, in the fear of God, in faithful diligence in our calling and office which has been entrusted to us all while beholding in a glass.”
Gill also goes on to say; “It is he that takes off the veil from the heart, that we may, with open face unveiled, behold all this glory; it is he that regenerates, stamps the image of Christ, and conforms the soul to his likeness; it is he that gradually carries on the work of grace upon the soul, increases faith, enlarges the views of the glory of Christ, and the spiritual light, knowledge, and experience of the saints, and will perfect all that which concerns them; will quicken their mortal bodies, and make them like to Christ; and will for ever rest as a spirit of glory on them, both in soul, spirit and body.”
But as a Christian we must be careful what we fix our sight upon. Burkett says; “All sorts of communion among men have an assimilating power and efficacy; he that converses with vain company, grows more vain; and he that delights in holy and spiritual company, grows more serious than he was before. But nothing so transforms the spirit of a man, as communion with God in his ordinances doth; none so like him, as those that converse most frequently with him.”
So just take a step into the SONSHINE you will never be the same!

Glory, Honor and Praise to the All in All, King Jesus.
Pastor Parris, you had me shouting Hallelujah before I even said good morning, well here it is Good Morning, Pastor Parris,
Awesome blog, I remember this song I use to dance to in the clubs when I wasn’t saved and it was called I just can’t get enough, don’t remember who came out with the song it was in the 80s. As I was reading your blog, I thought of that pass song, not a good song to dance to, lyrics are not to good and the atmosphere wasn’t either. But any way, don’t know why it did but had to share it, this fellow has been pulled out of club Bourbon street and has found a new club on Airline Drive. You know that one, Hallelujah, Victory, and now we dance to clean lyrics of I Just can’t get enough with hands held high and dancing and praising the One we should be dancing for. Thank You Lord and Holy Spirit. Whew,
I JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH;);););););)Have an awesome day in our Lord, with Love.
