Isa.41:10 – Do not yield to fear, for I am always near.
Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God.
I will infuse you with my strength
and help you in every situation.
I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.
This is a pretty amazing word from the Lord; maybe this is God’s word for you in this new year. Listen carefully, He just might be bringing you into something vey special in your life. First He says He is always near. Even in those moments you can’t feel Him He is right there with you. Then He takes it even further, He will infuse you with strength. This is more than being with us, this is God actually inside of us. He is infusing you with Himself, that is how He gives you strength. Then He goes even further, He says He will be with you in every situation. Here is how Henry describes this verse.
“That they may depend upon his presence with them as their God, and a God all-sufficient for them in the worst of times. Observe with what tenderness God speaks, and how willing he is to let the heirs of promise know the immutability of his counsel, and how desirous to make them easy: “Fear thou not, for I am with thee, not only within call, but present with thee; be not dismayed at the power of those that are against thee, for I am thy God, and engaged for thee. Art thou weak? I will strengthen thee. Art thou destitute of friends? I will help thee in the time of need. Art thou ready to sink, ready to fall? I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness, that right hand which is full of righteousness, in dispensing rewards and punishments,”
So what kind of situation do you find yourself in today. Are you dealing with health problems? Maybe you are being challenged with provision or maybe your family is under stress and relationships are being effected. Maybe all of this Covid talk has brought you to a dark place. That’s when today’s word comes into play, He is there in the midst of all of your circumstances, His power is more than enough for whatever you face, and most of all He is there Himself. He loves you and cares for you and will keep you in this hour.
