I have been privileged to be part of 43 years of miracles at Victory Church. For me these miracles actually started almost 49 years ago when Jesus opened my ears and eyes so that I could know Him. Now I didn’t have a physical disability, my eyes and ears worked quite well. I am talking about spiritual disabilities which are more severe and more subtle at the same time. I was blind and deaf to the spiritual realm, only when the miracle power of God invaded my life was I able to see and hear Jesus for myself. We have seen thousands of people experience His miracle power over the years at Victory. Here are some scripture with my comments that remind us of what He does.
- THE MIRACLE OF SEEING
Mk.10:52 – And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road”.
This is where it all starts for us. What a joy it has been to see young and old alike come to Christ in our outreaches and church services. You can often see the “light come on” when they meet Jesus. Just like the blind that Jesus healed in the Bible, you can hear them say, “I was blind but now I see”.
- THE MIRACLE OF HEARING
Mk.7:34,35 – and looking up to heaven with a deep sigh, He *said to him, “Ephphatha!” that is, “Be opened!” And his ears were opened,
None of us could hear His voice. Since we were born again every time we open the Bible the sweet voice of Jesus brings life and direction flooding into our soul.
- THE MIRACLE OF WALKING
Matt.9:6,7 – then He said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, pick up your stretcher and go home.” And he got up and went home. But when the crowds saw this, they were awestruck, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
We were all caught in horrible lifestyles walking in the sinful path of the world. The touch of God changed all of that, now we walk in the ways of the Lord.
- THE MIRACLE OF CLEANSING
Mk.1:41 – Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out with His hand and touched him, and *said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”
In the same way we were all defiled by our sinful behavior. The blood of Jesus has cleansed us and made us whiter than snow.
- THE DEAD ARE RAISED UP
Lk.7:14,15 – And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise!” And the dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother.
As Paul said, “we were all dead in our sins”. Christ put His hand on our coffin and told us to rise up. His voice brought resurrection life into each of us. Today we are finally living because of the miracle power of Jesus.
