Rev.3:8 – I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut…
After the recent overturning of Roe vs Wade by the Supreme Court, my wife Parris began to reflect on the long term ramifications of that ruling. There is a possibility that more young women (and even girls) will now decide not to end their pregnancy. This will likely put many of these new mothers into some unpleasant circumstances and challenges to have this child and possibly beginning to raise this new little person. Parris felt impressed by the Lord that He had put before her a new open door of ministry. All that is left to do is go through the door, follow Him step by step, and see what He does. That’s often the way life is, there is a turn in the road which often is the Lord placing new opportunities of ministry right in front of you. Maybe He is saying to all of us in this present hour, “I have put before you an open door which no one can shut…” Here are three short quotes quotes on today’s word from the Lord.
“He had given them (the churches in Asia Minor) the most unlimited privileges. The temple of salvation was thrown open to them; the celestial city was accessible; the whole world was before them as a field of usefulness, and anywhere, and everywhere, they might do good, and at all times they might have access to the kingdom of God.”
“I have given before thee an opened door – To enter into the joy of thy Lord; and, meantime, to go on unhindered in every good work.”
“‘a door having been opened in your sight.’ This open door is likely an invitation to come into the fullness of God’s kingdom of joy and power in the Holy Spirit. Or it may refer to an open door of opportunity to give witness to others of God’s power and grace.”
I believe the Lord is opening spiritual doors today that have never been known before. He is opening access into His presence and bringing those that enter in to new places of intimacy and power. He is also opening doors of ministry opportunity that have never existed before. Listen carefully in your times of intimate worship, you may be surprised at the opportunities that are falling into your lap.
