Rev.21:5 – And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”

I love the continual renewal that happens to each one of us who have been born into the family of God. I love what the Lord says in this verse, “I am making all things new”. This is not a one and done kind of a thing. Notice carefully what He says, “I am making all things new” The Lord is describing a continuous state of renewal. Our old life is done and God’s work in us never stops. We live in a constant state of being changed. Here is a beautiful description of this verse by Barclay.

“FOR the first time, God himself speaks; he is the God who is able to make all things new. Again, we are back among the dreams of the ancient prophets. Isaiah heard God say: ‘Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing’. This is the witness of Paul: ‘If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation’. God can take people and re-create them, and will some day create a new universe for the saints whose lives he has renewed…..‘I am Alpha and Omega,’ says God to John, ‘the beginning and the end.’…..It would be impossible to say anything more magnificent about God. At first sight, it might seem to remove God to such a distance that we are no more to him than the flies on the window pane. But what comes next? ‘To the thirsty I will give water without price from the fountain of the water of life.’ All God’s greatness is at our disposal. ‘God so loved that he gave …’. The splendor of God is used to satisfy the thirst of the longing heart.”

So if you are not happy with who you were in your past life I have great news for you, you will never be that person again. The Holy Spirit is working inside of you and you are now living in a constant state of renewal. I guess the question begging to be asked is this, are you putting yourself in position for His renewal to happen? How can you do this? It happens as you soak yourself in a spiritual environment. Renewal happens when we read God’s word, pray extended times in the Spirit, and get in a church service where the anointing is moving. As we move into 2023 transformation is essential, allow Him to place His miracle power in action in your life.

  1. Thank you for challenging us to pray in the spirit 15 minutes every day in November. I’ve continued this month and it is revolutionary!! I’ve experienced refreshing and stronger faith. His promise is true: draw near to Me and I will draw near to you.
