The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the greatest day in human history. The only event that comes close to this day in importance is the day Jesus was born to the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem in Judea. Christ’s resurrection from the dead declared that the price for sin paid by Jesus on the cross had been accepted. Christ was raised from the dead and all who would believe in Him were raised from the dead with Him. Death has been conquered and our inheritance in heaven has been guaranteed.
The resurrection also effects our life in the here and now. Those who have been born again have tasted the power of the resurrection. It is through that very power that we enjoy and live our lives. Sin has lost its power over us, we now live our lives by the power of the resurrection. Easter 2023 has come. Christ was raised from the dead almost 2000 years ago. Meditate on these scriptures and allow resurrection life to consume you.
I. DECLARED JESUS THE SON OF GOD BY THE RESURRECTION
Rom.1:3,4 – concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,
II. EYEWITNESSES OF THE RESURRECTION
Acts 4:30-32 – The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you put to death by hanging Him on a cross. He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
III. RESURRECTION DEFEATED OUR ENEMY – DEATH
1 Cor.15:20,21 – But the fact is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man death came, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
IV. BORN AGAIN THROUGH THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS
1 Peter 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
