Daniel 10:12 -14 – Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”
I think it is is important to look closely at how Jesus taught us to pray displayed in what is known as “the Lord’s Prayer”. One of the key components in that prayer is “let your kingdom come”. If you look at Daniel’s prayer before his angelic visitation that is how Daniel was praying, he was praying for the people of Israel to be restored to their land. Apparently, from God’s perspective, Israel being in their land is connected to His coming kingdom. An angelic messenger was sent to Daniel in answer to his prayer and informed Daniel that a fallen being called the prince of Persia was withstanding him. Here is how the Spirit Filled Life Bible describes this scene.
“Some angels have influence over nations. The ruling prince of Persia, an evil angel whose abode is in the heavenlies (the invisible realm), attempted to keep the captive Israelites from returning to their homeland. This gives us insight into the powerful control such principalities and rulers of darkness may exercise over nations and national issues. In this same chapter we see two other angelic “princes” who rule nations: Michael, “one of the chief princes,” who rules and guards the activities of Israel; and the “prince of Greece” , who, as it was prophesied, would eventually come and take predominance over the “prince of Persia” then in control.”
I want to make an important observation here, Daniel was not praying against the demonic forces, he was just praying for the kingdom to come. Neither Jesus nor the apostles are seen ‘pulling gown strongholds’, they are always seen praying for God’s kingdom plan to be realized and preaching the gospel. It’s not complicated. Today, like in Daniel’s day, we see demonic resistance to Israel being in the land, this is an indication of the Lord’s return. What is our job today? Pray for God’s kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven, pray for Israel to be protected, and preach the gospel to all who will listen. What will be the result? Jesus will come and establish His kingdom here on earth. I CAN’T WAIT.
AMEN!!!!🙏 🙏
Come soon or in a while matters not, I have so very thankfully been drawn in like a moth to light, every day a new hunger for more of I AM. The prophecies will surly happen but not my concern, getting the harvest in while there is yet time, the utmost focus. Having been made ready by joining with Him, I too am about the Fathers kingdom, He takes care of the rest.
