Isa.60:5 – Then you will see and be radiant,
And your heart will thrill and rejoice;
Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you,
The wealth of the nations will come to you.
I have heard all of my Christian life that the wealth of the heathen is stored up for the righteous, I think the timing of this verse is critical. We are in the edge of those days as the last and greatest moment of the church approaches. The Lord is doing amazing things and like always He loves to use the least likely and unexpected to extend His kingdom. The Lord will do unprecedented financial things for those who love Him and love His church in this final hour. Here is how Matthew Henry describes this 300 years ago.
“The merchants will write holiness to the LORD on their profit and their earnings. “The abundance of the sea, either the wealth that is taken out of the sea (the fish, the pearls) or what is imported by sea, shall all be converted to thee and to thy use.” The wealth of the rich merchants will be spent on works of godliness and charity. Those who are powerful in the nations will use their power in the service of the church: “The forces, or troops, of the Gentiles shall come unto thee, to guard your coasts, strengthen your interests, and, if need be, fight your battles.” The forces of the Gentiles have often been against the church, but now they will be for it, for just as God, when he pleases, can, and, when we please him, will, make even our enemies to be at peace with us, so, when Christ overcomes the strong armed man, he divides his spoils and makes serve his interests what has formerly been used against them.”
If you feel like the Lord wants to use you in provision for His work there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, get connected closely to His church. The Lord loves His church and it is His chosen vessel to effect this generation. Secondly, support your church generously with your tithes and offerings, these are the ingredients the Lord will use to multiply His provision in your life. Finally, listen to the Lord for opportunities in business or investment. One idea from the Lord is worth immeasurable wealth. These are the days we have waited for and the prophets foretold. Unprecedented works of God are on the horizon, you may very well be one of His chosen vessels.
