I AM WILLING

Lk.5:23,24 – While He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man covered with leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” And He reached out with His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

In this passage we see the authority, power, and the will of God correspond. These three are involved in the healing power of God even today. First we must recognize the authority to perform healing miracles. Does Jesus have authority to heal sick bodies and has He given that power to His church? I would have to say absolutely yes for both questions. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus and He has delegated that authority to us. Is the power to heal the sick available to the church? Again, that would be a resounding yes. We have been filled with the power of God to lay our hands on the sick and bring healing. The third ingredient is the one many stumble over; is He is willing to heal me? How can you determine the will of God? Study His nature in His word, soak in His presence in prayer and worship. You will discover that He is good and desires to make you whole. Here is a quote from Kenneth Hagin about the power and authority in His name.

“There is authority in the Name of Jesus. When Jesus appeared to John on the isle of Patmos, He said, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore .. . and have the keys of hell and of death” (Rev. 1:18) The one who has the key is the authorized one. Jesus is saying here, “I am the authorized one.” He has authority. Just before He ascended to be seated at the right hand of the Father, Jesus said, “All power [authority] is given me in heaven and in earth” (Matt. 28:18). He immediately delegated His authority in the earth to the Church, “Go ye therefore ” (Matt. 28:19). Then He promised, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; IN MY NAME.” In My Name! In the Name of Jesus! He authorized us. He gave us His Name as the authority. The power is in the Name. The authority is in the Name. He gave us the Name that is above every name. He gave us the Name that is recognized in three worlds—the Name that has authority in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. Angels, men, and demons have to bow at that Name—and that Name belongs to us. We are authorized to use that Name.”
I believe in miracles, I believe a surge of miracles is building up in His church. In the days ahead there will be an increase of signs and wonders moving through the body of Christ, not just the ministers but every member moving in God’s power. The convergence of His power, authority and His desire to heal will explode in this generation.
