SATURATION PRAYER

Ps.40:1 – LITV – Waiting I have waited on Jehovah; and He turned to me and heard my cry.

Ps.27:14 – Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!

Ps.37:7 – Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Saturation prayer is totally unknown among the vast majority of the Christian population in today’s world. In order to value saturating prayer you first must be familiar with the anointing. Secondly, you must believe that the anointing has substance and affects the individuals who spend time in the atmosphere of the anointing.

Thinking about saturating prayer, I would have to say that this type of prayer falls into two categories, private prayer and corporate prayer. As far as private prayer is concerned this would be described as spending extended periods of time simply magnifying the Lord. Worshipping God in song or listening to anointed worship music will bring you into the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, soaking in this will radically change your life. Secondly, spend daily extended periods of time worshipping the Lord in your heavenly language. This too will bring you into a life changing experience. I would recommend spending twenty minutes at the beginning of each day simply praying and worshipping the Lord in other tongues.

The second kind of saturation prayer would be in gathering with other believers in prayer meetings or worship gatherings. Worshipping the Lord with other Christians in singing songs and hymns, as well as, singing together in other tongues, brings on the atmosphere of saturation. You can also receive prayer through the laying on of hands that could be termed soaking prayer. This could also be extended periods of time receiving prayer through the laying on of hands. This is a powerful way to receive more and more of the Lord’s presence into your life.

Why is saturation so important? We are all soaking in some sort of atmosphere everyday, often the atmosphere of the culture of this world. Soaking prayer becomes a spiritual bath where we wash the filth of this world off of our lives, the affect of being in a worldly atmosphere has to be eliminated. Just attending worship once a week without really taking time to enter His presence can never change you significantly. It’s the anointing that brings us into a place of purity and power, there is no other way to live victorious in this generation.
