Hebrews gives us another look at Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. In the opening passage of Hebrews, it describes the greatness of the eternal Son of God.
Heb.1:3 – Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
He is called the brightness of His glory, the very image of the Father, the upholder of all things, and the One Who is seated at the Father’s right hand. Today I will continue unfolding the titles of Christ found in the book of Hebrews. All I can say is CONSIDER JESUS!!!
Jesus is also called THE APOSTLE OF OUR FAITH and my favorite, THE HIGH PRIEST OF OUR CONFESSION: Hebrews 3:1, “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,” He is the founder of our faith, His authority reigns supreme over His church and He ushers us into God’s presence, prays for us, represents us, and baptizes us with the Holy Spirit.
He is called THE SON OF GOD: Hebrews 4:14, “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.” Jesus is the eternally begotten Son, uncreated and eternal.
He is THE SOURCE OF ETERNAL SALVATION: Hebrews 5:9,“And being made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,” He is the fountain and source of life itself, the fountain that living water flows from.
Jesus is also THE FORERUNNER: Hebrews 6:20,“where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” He entered into heaven as a man for us, opening the way and giving us access into the heavenly life.
Christ is not only Creator but Savior and High Priest. He became a man and entered heaven as a man to open up a way for all of us to come to God. He is at the Father’s right hand calling for us to come near. So today, consider Jesus, take another look at the Son of God, He is at the Father’s right hand calling out for you.

We have all been invited to have our own special and intimate relationship with Jesus. “He is no respecter of persons” Those that want to be transformed by being more and more in the company of Jesus, including Him in every decision, every life’s moment, He more than welcomes that, He actually loves that!
