Rev.23:1,2 – And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads were blasphemous names. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne, and great authority.
These prophesies have intrigued students of the Bible for the last 2000 years. Sometimes it impossible to understand prophetic words until the times of their fulfillment begin to come close. This word describes the final world power, a ten nation alliance, in the tradition of the empires that Daniel foresaw. Apparently there will be an alliance of nations that begin to dominate the world as the end of the age comes upon us. You can see this spirit of antichrist on display over the last two years with government alliance and overreach on a global scale. Here is how the ESV Study Bible describes this.
“The beast looks like a leopard but has feet like a bear’s, a mouth like a lion’s mouth, and ten horns, and it wages “war on the saints”. Thus it resembles all four beasts that Daniel saw emerge from the sea before the Son of Man appeared (Dan. 7:1–8, 21). As those beasts symbolized kingdoms (Dan. 7:17, 23), so this beast, a composite of them all, represents every human empire—Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, and their successors—that demands absolute allegiance and trust, enforcing its demand with coercion. Its 10 horns and seven heads mirror those of the dragon, who gives the beast its great authority.”
The last two years has made the one world government and the demand of compliance to government mandates come far too close to home. The saber rattling of Russia and their invasion of Ukraine reminds us of the coming assault on Jerusalem with Russia and her Islamic allies. The battle lines are being drawn and the spirit of antichrist is baring his ugly head. The good news for us, global awakening is upon us. The greatest harvest of the earth in history is inevitable. As Jesus said, “When you see these things beginning to take place, look up your redemption is drawing near”. So keep your eye on what happens next and the response from Europe. The final act is about to begin.
