Jn.21:12 – Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine.

Matt.10:34 – Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Anyone with any kind of spiritual awareness can feel the growing tension in the world. We feel the pull of God’s love, calling us to come and feast at His table. At the same time we sense the powers of this age intensifying their resistance to the coming kingdom of God. Everything began to come out into the open when the Lord Himself appeared on the earth. Mankind had been trapped in their sin, bound by the spirit of this world, held as captives in the demonic war against the Lord. Jesus came calling whosoever will to come to His table prepared in the wilderness. He found those lost in immorality, forgave their sin, gave them a place at His table, and told them to sin no more. His message was to the hurting and lonely, “Come to Me all you who are weary and I will give you rest”. We had all been fighting an unseen enemy until Jesus came and began to set the captives free.
As we draw near to the end of the age the Marriage Banquet and the Final War are just on the horizon. What we have been feeling all along is becoming quite apparent. The Bride of Christ is about to appear in full glory and the celebration is about to begin. At the same time the enemy rages in anger knowing his days are numbered and his final card is about to be played. The culmination of all this will happen at the sudden return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The enemies of our God, the spirit of antichrist and the armies of the earth will gather against the Lord. Their demise is inevitable and will happen suddenly. At the same time the church is bursting with joy as everything comes to its certain end.
In the mean time we are in the middle of this conflict with the wooing of Christ to intimacy and celebration and the threatening taunts of the spirit of this age with its temptation wrapped up in anger. The days ahead prove to be loaded with surprises; attacks from the enemy and our greatest victories as we join in the celebration.
By the way, if you check out the end of the Bible several things will happen. The antichrist and false prophet will be thrown into the lake of fire, the devil will be tied up and thrown into hell for a thousand years, and oh yeah – We will be part of the greatest Victory party ever.
