Mk.10:51,52 – Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!” And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
Does the Lord still heal people today? Does He still heal people of incurable diseases like He did when He was here on earth? I believe the answer is absolutely, 100 % yes! The Lord is always the same like the scriptures clearly say, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever”. So how does one receive their healing today? It is the same as when Jesus was here on earth, you come to Jesus by faith and let Him touch you through the power of the Spirit. Here is how Kathryn Kuhlman describes God’s healing power.
“But the question you may be asking—because it is a question that arises whenever these matters are discussed—is this: Can and will Jesus perform miracles of healing today? Or, did miracles cease with the closing of his earthly ministry?
These are reasonable questions and worthy of a reasonable answer. Surely, there is more involved than the mere statement of an historical fact in the assertion, “And He cast out the spirits with His Word and healed all that were sick” (Matthew 8:16 NKJV).
There is no “day” of miracles! Miracles are simply the manifestation of the power of God. This marvelous power was manifested throughout the dispensation of God the Father, all throughout the dispensation of Jesus Christ the Son, and continues to be manifested during the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. Whenever God works, it is always in a supernatural way. Therefore, miracles will continue as long as God is still on the throne. I repeat: there is no “day” of miracles with God! This doctrine is a most rational, and can be received as truth by every believer who accepts Jesus as their personal Savior.”
I love this, there is no specific day of miracles, they have not ceased. As long as the Lord reins on the throne of God miracles will never cease, it is impossible for miracles to cease. Everywhere Jesus goes through the person of the Holy Spirit miracles have to happen. His nature demands it, He is life itself and everything He touches comes to life. Today is the day of the Holy Spirit, we call on the name of Jesus and the Holy Spirit comes, He is the Spirit of Resurrection and everything He touches is made whole.
