Ps.135:7 – He causes the mist to ascend from the ends of the earth,
He makes lightning for the rain;
He brings forth the wind from His treasuries.

One of my prized books given to me years ago by Dick Mills is “THE EMBLEMS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT” by F.E. Marsh. In this book, Marsh describes the beautiful pictures of the Spirit found in God’s word. Pictures such as wind, fire, rivers, etc. that give us glimpses into the glory of the Lord. One of my favorite is the wind. The wind speaks of God’s power, His breath of intimacy, His refreshing wind, and His wind of regeneration. This verse describes the wind that unveils to us the treasuries of God. Here is a quote from “EMBLEMS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT” by F.E. Marsh.

“Think of the treasures of His love, His grace, His promises, His riches, His power, His goodness, His glory, and remember the revealer of them is the Holy Spirit; He brings our minds to think of the precious blood; and as Rebekah of old listened to the voice of Eliezer telling her of Isaac, his love, his treasure, himself, so the Spirit speaks of our divine Lord, and the blessings that are in Him and the glory we are yet to share. Oh fellow believer, since the Spirit lives in you, live in the Spirit. The Spirit walks in you; see to it that you walk in the Spirit.

We are not left to walk alone:
The Spirit of our God hath come,
For ever with us to abide-
Our Teacher, Our Comforter and Guide

O gracious Spirit led by Thee,
How truly safe and blessed are we
Hasting the dreary desert through,
With our eternal home in view!

Jesus, the Father’s only Son
Jesus, His own beloved one
Jesus, now seated at His side,
Has claimed us as His own – His bride”

Jesus began to unveil these treasures to His disciples the night He washed their feet and shared the Last Supper with them. He spoke to them about the adoption of the Spirit, the power of the Spirit, the revealing nature of the Spirit, the fruitfulness of the Spirit, and the supernatural help the Holy Spirit would bring. We have no idea of the riches that are ours in Christ until the Holy Spirit begins to open up that treasury for us. We have received riches beyond measure. It will take all of eternity to uncover these riches that are given to us in Christ.

  1. I do love the unveiling, the discovery aspect associated with our quest to understand our Heavenly Father. 1st Corinthians 13 says “Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We only know a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompleteness will be canceled. “

    I have heard that each new day in heaven, we will learn something new and mind blowing about God’s love for us.
