Acts 2:19 – I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath…
I was recently reading the news and this story about the birth of a white buffalo in Yellowstone National Park grabbed my attention. Apparently this is extremely rare, specifically this particular bison because it had black eyes and a black nose, in other words not an albino. I am not one looking for signs everyday, the Bible gives plenty of proof that we are living in the end of time but something about this little bison grabbed me, I suppose its frailty, vulnerability, and rarity is what got to me. It reminded me how on the outside God’s ways can seem so fragile, you know like Jesus being born in an animal stable. He seemed so weak and vulnerable but the truth is nothing could have touched Him. That’s how our lives are, living with danger on every side but constantly protected by God and His promises. So getting back to the white bison, here is part of the story from BBC.
“An incredibly rare white bison calf has been photographed in Yellowstone National Park, exciting Native American tribes who view it as a religious sign heralding major change.
It was spotted in the Lamar Valley area, and is the first white bison to be born in the last wild herd in the US, according to modern records. The birth of a white buffalo is a sacred event for many Native tribes of the Great Plains, including the Lakota people, who believe that it relates to a time around 2,000 years ago when food was scarce and the bison were rarely seen.
The Lakota legend tells of a beautiful woman who appeared and delivered the gifts of a sacred pipe and bundle to the people. The woman told them she would return to restore harmony in a troubled world, and then rolled on the ground four times, changing color each time before becoming a white buffalo calf. Her departure led the bison to return, and white buffalos are now seen as a sign that prayers are being heard and that change is coming. The white buffalo woman is considered the central prophet in the theology of many tribes including the Sioux, Cherokee, Comanche and Navajo. Her story is often likened to that of Jesus in Christianity.”
Now I don’t believe in Native American legends or even the Buffalo prophet lady but I tend to agree with part of this story. I believe that God answers prayer, change is coming, and creation is crying out in anticipation of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Just as the mama bison watches over her new born baby, the Lord is watching over His prophetic word to perform it.

Nature is in line with God’s will. The weather, the climate changes all was prophesied in the Word multiple times over 2000 years ago, long before the false prophets of climate change. Climate change is real, God said He would send scorching winds and heat to judge mankind for sin. Not for driving cars, or cow farts. The church needs to be the beacon warning the public about the fire and brimstone that is coming if mankind does not repent and turn back to God our Father of Jesus the Messiah, not Greta Thunberg or Al Gore.
What an amazing event.! God touches us through signs, wonders, and miracles. To see and read about His hands at work is a privilege to us. God is on the move as always displaying that He is the hope, the truth and the life. And He reaches all to display His glory. I love Him.
