Jer.1:11,12 – And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”
I am looking to today’s verse as a promise from the Lord for 2025. Over the next two days I want to consider God’s promises and His word to watch over them to guarantee they are fulfilled in my life. This verse describes the promise of supernatural harvest from the Lord. It also describes His constant oversight, He is constantly watching over all of His promises to guarantee that they will each be performed. To me, this is a look at the way the Lord views all of the promises He has made. His word being fulfilled is critical because His promises are connected to His honor and glory. If His promises can’t be trusted then God’s glory is diminished. Since it is not possible for His promises to not be fulfilled then we can rest assured that all of His promises are yes and amen. He is watching over these promises to make certain that they will all be accomplished. He is ruling the Universe with His word and also watching carefully to make sure His promises are fulfilled.
So what kind of promises are we talking about here? One of the promises that comes to mind for me is renewal, He promises to make all things new. God lives in a state of constant renewal, when we come in contact with Him we are also made new. Rev.21:5 – “And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.””
Next I think of the promise of world wide revival and harvest. One of the promises the Lord made to His church was that there would be an unprecedented harvest at the end of the age. Jesus spoke about that harvest in this verse. Matt.13:39 – “the harvest is the end of the age…”
Jesus is watching over His word to guarantee that this is totally fulfilled.
He also promised to supply all of the need for His sons and daughters that participate in kingdom giving. He said in Mal.3:10 – “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the LORD of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” He is watching over His promises to bring financial blessing into your life.
This will be continued tomorrow ….

I’m looking forward to what the Lord tells us through you having been given the office as pastor over the church He brought me to be a servant with.
