THE ATMOSPHERE IS EFFECTED BY REVIVAL

2 Chron.5:13,14 – indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: “For He is good, for His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

This scripture passage describes the incredible change of atmosphere that happens when God’s glory comes down. In today’s verse as the glory moved into the temple a visible cloud formed. The atmosphere was thick with the glory of God that caused it to be impossible for the priests to stay on their feet. God’s glory brings the atmosphere of heaven into the earth. The volcano called Krakatoa effected the atmosphere of the entire planet for one year. God’s eruptions effect the environment in even greater ways. Here is how Google describes the atmospheric effect of Krakatoa.

“The Krakatoa eruption in 1883 had significant atmospheric effects, including widespread global cooling and unique sky phenomena. The eruption injected massive amounts of ash and sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere, which scattered and absorbed sunlight, leading to cooler global temperatures for several years. Additionally, the eruption created vivid, colored sunsets and other atmospheric effects visible around the world. The ash cloud led to increased rainfall in some parts of the world and prolonged periods of darkness.”

The first time I encountered revival anointing on my life I had no idea about how it would effect the atmosphere at Victory Church. I had attended some revival meetings in Dallas where the glory of God came upon my life in a way I had never experienced. The next Sunday was when I began to understand the transferable nature of the anointing and just how the very atmosphere would be effected by God. As I stepped behind the pulpit that Sunday suddenly the atmosphere changed in the whole building. Whatever had fallen on me was falling on people all over the church, many of whom could not sit upright in their seats. The glory was filling our church, the atmosphere at Victory was suddenly, drastically, and permanently changed. Thirty years later the glory of the Lord continues to effect the atmosphere at Victory Church, this atmosphere of the glory of the Lord is a small taste of all that the Lord has for His people.
